'Big Bad' in Latin (sort of )

This is an update of my previous Steampunk Werewolf, made pretty much from scratch. Only the eyes remain from the previous incarnation's helmet (see here solarisphoenix.deviantart.com/…. It's considerably more robust. The eyes are a set of LEDs pushed into gaps in small drain filters, layered with wax paper stuck onto the back of the lenses from thick 'nerdy' costume glasses. The battery pack is stuck under the lames at the back of the neck, which you can't see. And I realised after putting it here that I didn't make enough room to actually put the batteries in easily, so that was annoying. Worked in the end though, and nothing broke.

The base for this is a junior softball helmet that I just fit into, with a cardboard/craft foam exterior, bound together with masking tape and mod podge. The teeth are from a couple of those pumpkin sets you can get around Hallowe'en, and the ears are 99c glow-in-the-dark knives from WalMart.

The jaw moves and that little round thing in the mouth is a pop guard for the cheap voice synthesiser I'm slotting into place there, eventually. I haven't tried this all on together yet, so... we'll see what happens! Either way, I'll be wearing this at Dragon*Con 2014. Funs!
